This album is pretty crap.

For my birthday my grandma gave me a fair bit of cash to do stuff with, I decided the bright thing to do would be to put it away somewhere – this meant I had to get up at round 7-8 am Saturday morning to be in town for 9, well, that didn’t work, I fell back asleep to be woken at 8:50. That’s boring so I’m going to skip that and tell you that this album really isn’t so great. In a way, a warning.

‘Snow Patrol – Final Straw’

It’s not crap, but it isn’t great - it’s pop music.

If you’re like me and don’t really listen to the radio anymore you won’t really be up-to-date and know what’s been in the charts recently, so you don’t know which are the singles. Well, this album makes it kind of obvious – track 01 – ‘How to be dead’ is a single – track 06 ‘Chocolate’ is also a single, and it wouldn’t surprise me if track 07 ‘Run’ is too.

All the above tracks stand out to me like all singles do on albums.

We all know how pop music is made: Band signed, given big loan, they use to loan to get a producer, get decent equipment, pay for rehearsal space/time, then studio time to record, and mix. Next is shooting any videos or other means of promotion.

After all this they have to hope they sell enough to pay back the large loan and hopefully make more, as future money is their pay.

In my opinion I’d say this album wasn’t worth £12.99, though I’d probably see them live if they played Leeds, and I could get a friend or two to go.

That was boring too, and this next bit will be too. Damn I’m exciting, fun, and sociable.

If you bothered to read all that crap you can now know that I made paper boats for three hours yesterday afternoon. That’s what I did at that course; made boats. Amazing, isn’t it? Not only did I make boats, I taught others to make them too, this included the other people on this course and the supervisors.

Oh, I also feel like I’m being a dick lately. Not to anyone in particular, just everyone.

I don’t like it at all.
