Do you have your own taste in music?

I could just put yes or no here, but I’m not going to, I’m going to explain where this has come from and a bit about my taste.

I was reading a SomethingAwful thread. The guy claims he doesn’t like music, well, not so much doesn’t like, just doesn’t really have a preference, doesn’t own any CD’s, and pretty much doesn’t have his own taste.

I personally thought this was strange. Just not liking music. That comes across as really strange. Right now I’m listening to ‘Alkaline Trio – San Francisco’, now that may not be your taste, but it’s mine. I don’t mind if you don’t like it, that’s not what I’m trying to go on about.

Earlier today I was listening to something, not sure what, but I’ve had music on all day. I can’t really think of something without music, most of my memories have music involved, even if its riding the bus to college, I was probably listening to ‘NOFX – I Heard They Suck Live’, riding in the car, maybe ‘Alkaline Trio – Alkaline Trio’ or ‘Blink 182 – Dude Ranch’, holidays, each one with music tied in, like sort of a soundtrack.

Even the little things from when I was around eight years old, probably something my dad had on, Queen, Gary Glitter, Human League, Nirvana, or just the Top 40 on a Sunday evening.

Personally I think I’m a pretty boring person, without music I’d have even less to talk about.

So, I’m still listening to ‘Alkaline Trio – Goddamnit’ because I’m avoiding listening to everything enqueued because I don’t want to hear certain songs because of the memories and associations.
